Sci Fi's high on 'Superhero'
Sci Fi Channel has renewed "Who Wants to Be a Superhero?," green-lighting an expanded 10-episode second season of the superhero search.
Comicbook titan Stan Lee's Pow! Entertainment and Bruce Nash Entertainment will continue to exec produce the show, with new episodes slated for a premiere next summer.
Six-episode first season averaged 1.5 million viewers, beating year-ago averages by 74% in adults 18-49 and by 44% adults 25-54.
Show tests the alter egos of aspiring superheroes in a series of challenges judged by Lee, who will create a comicbook based on the winning character. First season crowned 33-year-old software engineer Matthew Atherton, aka Feedback, the champ.
